Life has asked you to pause and change. How do you answer that call?

It can be especially challenging if you’re used to being well and physically active. When part of your identity is tied up in your capacity, you can feel quite broken and betrayed.

Helping women to reconnect with their bodies during difficult times.

Menopause, injury, surgery, even general anxiety can be seen as time of growth and renewal. Instead of feeling in turmoil, stressed out, in pain and like you’re losing your mind, you can learn to reconnect, feel more grounded and more in tune with yourself.

You're in the right place if:

You've experienced an injury, accident or have been diagnosed with an illness or ‘dis-ease’ which is impacting your physical and mental health. You want to befriend your body again and rebuild a new relationship.

You have a full workload and/or family life you often feel anxious or stressed and have recurring aches or pains. You feel under the spell of everyone else’s needs and demands and know you need to tend to yourself but don’t know where to start.

You are entering or already in the menopause phase, feeling hijacked by your hormones. Your body feels way out of balance and your emotions are in turmoil. You're on a roller coaster without any of the fun. You often feel wired and tired and don’t sleep well. It’s exhausting.

The ageing process is making itself known, you’re aware of increasing tension, pain and stiffness and would like to remain healthy and mobile and in tune with your body and yourself.

What’s going on with you?

Transistions can be incredibly destabilising. A part of our nervous system is wired for the familiar. safety and connection. Injuries, illness and ill health can disrupt this. Going through the menopause can disrupt this. I know this from personal experience.

Whilst getting out of pain is super important, and I’ll help you with that, I want our time together to be more than that. Injury and illness can be a time for healing and renewal. Our mind, emotions and body aren’t separate. They all need attending to.

I work with people who want to discover different ways of moving and being in the world.

Hi, I’m Gabrielle (or Gaye)

I’ve listened to the stories people hold in their bodies for over 20 years. I can help you listen to yours.

I hold a warm, empathic, trauma informed and body inclusive space. Be in touch and let’s see how I can help you.

Creating a healing pathway that works for you

Through my personalized yoga facilitation and coaching, I’ll work right alongside you to achieve your optimal body and life wellness. I combine practices of spacious and healing yoga, breath work and embodied movement.

I ask that people commit to a series of 6 online sessions at £85 per hour. To see if we are good fit for each other, I offer a 30min online conversation. Book in below.

If you’d prefer a simple phone conversation we can do that. Email me to arrange a convenient time.

During our time together, some themes of the healing pathway can include:

  • Self care: The stories held in your body have space to be heard. There is time to slow down, release and restore into a quieter practice. Gradually you begin to reconnect and listen to your body.

  • Inner alignment and strength: Focus on specific movement practices that develop inner strength and centredness. You recognise that embodied yoga is relevant in helping other areas of your life.

  • Boundary making: You begin to create more time in your life for yourself. It is both a surprise and a welcome relief when you have more space!

  • Release and renew: Patterns that aren’t helpful anymore begin to shift. You have more trust in your body, you’ve started a self practice and feel more empowered.

The signposts above are in the terrain. The healing pathway isn’t always linear. It can spiral back around before moving forwards again.
